Team Better Block worked with Crescent Communities, a real estate development company from Charlotte, NC, to create a set of placemaking principles for walkable and diverse development projects.
Crescent Communities, a developer of single, multifamily, and commercial mixed use, understands that placemaking can be an essential tool to enhance community life. Testing diverse public space scenarios and openness to change over time is becoming increasingly instrumental to inform design and planning of new projects.
In addition to a a set of design recommendations which could be impllemented within each Crescent project, the team worked with project architects to create a strategic plan for connected and vibrant public spaces.
