Team Better Block partnered with the City of Newnan and Newnan Main Street, along with local residents, stakeholders and volunteers to improve the quality of life for residents in Newnan’s downtown.
After hearing the community’s needs and goals, Team Better Block build a placemaking strategy for Newnan to execute using short . medium, and long term goals.
Newnan’s Placemaking Strategy incorporated public art, district branding and identity, incremental design, and identified key areas for placemaking projects. Newnan has all the ingredients to be a great place, they just need a place to start! Using this Placemaking Strategy will give the city a timetable and evaluation to implement designs in the present time as well as prepare for larger projects in the future.
