Ash Crescent Pickle Park

“A place to call our own.” Ash Crescent residents want a community space where everyone comes together to have shared experiences. Just one connection to the adjacent regional park will not satisfy this desire.
Ash Crescent deserves the kind of space where kids can learn and play, neighbors can share a conversation, and the whole neighborhood can celebrate their lives together. The Pickle Park design comes from direct feedback from engagement with the community and the work done during the 018 Ash Crescent Better Block. The resulting project will create a unique space that the residents of Ash Crescent can call their own.
This park design builds on community partnerships with churches, employers and organizations that can assist in programming and maintaining the space. The neighborhood approach seeks to unite north and south residents with a linear greenway, a trailhead and park. The project invites sponsors from the private sector to assist in programming the new public spaces. This all started by asking the community what is missing.
